Founder Sentoku ISHIDA

@Nagoya lshida Educational Foundation was established in 1941 by the founder, Mr. Sentoku@lshida. The founder's guiding philosophy revolved around helping Japan's youth to become more aware of the world that they live in.
@The founder's successors have continued to follow his spirit and philosophy, building the system to its present status. @We aim to train students to be internationalized and broad minded through English education.
@Nagoya lshida Educational Foundation has been approved as an educational institution by the Minister of Education. Our institution is called a comprehensive school. It consists of a kindergarten, a Junior High School, a Senior High School, an University, a preparatory school, and its own publishing house.
@About 60,000 graduates from our schools take active rolls in society all over the world as well as in Japan. They carry forth our founder's philosophy.

šThe major aim in education
   The major aim in education is to foster and develop human beings with a sense of gratitude and a practical to life.
šObjective
   A human being is an organic body. Society is also an organic whole and neither of them can exist in isolation. We exist because we live in  society. Without realizing that we are a part of the whole, the individual neglects, or becomes isolated from every day existence. We must not be idle in our efforts to learn.
   Each person must have his / her ideal and make all the efforts to achieve that aim.
   Especially, in one's youth, one must develop a healthy morality, 1earn and consolidate the basic of knowledge, and seek the creation of a new culture, lt is imperative@that we should develop human beings with practical ability and build a healthy mind and body.

Chief Executive officer

@He was born in 1943. He graduated in Education at Waseda University and joined the Nagoya lshida Educational Foundation in 1967. He has appointed Chief  Executive Officer and President of Nagoya lshida Educational Foundation in 1976. He was also appointed to the Headships of Hoshinoshiro Kindergarten, Seijoh Junior High School and Seijoh Senior High School. He intends to implement and to extend the educational philosophy of the Foundation's founder. He has set up a junior university in order to provide for educational continuity, Mr. Ishida has developed a program of international education, and has established close links with a number of overseas school. It is his ambition to make Seijoh High School into one of the best known schools in Japan.

Seijoh University, founded in 2002, is a coeducational, undergraduate university that strives to lead in offering co-equal education to women and men. The university provides programs of study in business administration and in care and rehabilitation which innovatively integrate the curriculum with professional preparation. Through all of its programs, the university encourages students of varied backgrounds and abilities to realize their full intellectual and personal potential so they may gain understanding about themselves, others, and the forces shaping our rapidly changing and pluralistic world. 

The Faculty of Business Administration develops people who are knowledgeable in the best business practice, can think critically, communicate effectively, adapt to and lead change, act ethically, value diversity, and are competitive in the global economy.  The Business Administration Department promotes academic excellence, fosters strong relationships with the surrounding business community, and emphasizes ongoing business research.

The faculty of the department is made up of talented men and women who offer a diverse range of expertise and research activities. A number of professors are frequently published and recognized internationally. In addition, many maintain strong ties within the business community and bring a current business perspective to the classroom. Business faculty members strive to deliver the most effective teaching in management theory and real-world applications to ensure a quality learning experience for business graduates.

The Faculty of Care and Rehabilitation affirms its commitment to excellence and innovation throughout its programs. The Care and Rehabilitation Department is dedicated to rigorous education in a caring and responsive environment; distinctive programs which are interdisciplinary and collaborative; advancement of the art of teaching; and scholarship and creative endeavor. Continuing priorities are diversity among students, staff, and faculty; the quality of student life; and the integration of a rich array of co-curricular opportunities within the curriculum.

It is the mission of Care and Rehabilitation Department to provide and maintain an intellectual environment that fosters both the personal and professional growth of its students. The Care and Rehabilitation Department promotes and sustains strong relationships among students, faculty, and staff that emphasize creative and critical thinking, scholarship and research, and a passion for learning.

Through a mature commitment to learning and service, students at Seijoh University will be able to integrate different forms of knowledge and will graduate with substantive knowledge in a chosen field of study. Club activities

@Seijoh High School is located in the quiet residential area of Toyoake City. There are boarding facilities (Gyosei-ryo), separate senior schools for boys and girls, and a Junior High School on the campus of 66,000 square meters. This campus has two gymnasiums and training rooms for kendo, judo, and kyudo. There are also four ovals. Among our graduates are many excellent sports men and women. The Ishida Memorial Building has a multi-purpose hall with 450 seats, and computer rooms with the latest technology. The star and the killer whale symbolize Seijoh High School.
Seijoh offers range of courses carefully tailored to suit each student's ability and interest.@A lot of our students go on to major universities and colleges. In addition, students who are excellent can go to Seijoh University.

@Sports : There are clubs for track and field, basketball, wrestling, softball, judo, kendo and kyudo. Our students always participate at National Athletics Meetings and we have produced a number of 0lympic athletes.
@Discipline : As a result of group education our students develop self-discipline and courtesy.
@International Education : Through overseas trips and exchanges our students experience directly other cultures. We have undertaken many exchanges with schools in Australia, Korea and the U.S.A. Seijoh High School was officially commended by the Aichi Prefecture for distinguished service to International Education in 1986.

Training leaders
  Six years of continuous education in the junior and senior schools prepares our students for the pre-university special course. This course focuses on Japanese, English, mathematics, science and social studies. Classes are small and the teaching is very professional. Professor Tadakatsu Ushiroda, Professor Emeritus at Aichi Teachers University, regularly gives lectures to students.

šMeiei Books publishing Association
Meiei Books publishing Association   Meiei Books Publishing Association developed from Nagoya Eigakujuku (reconstructed from Meitoku Gakukan in 1945). At present it publishes more than 50 kinds of English teaching materials for High and Junior High Schools all over Japan. It has been sponsering speech contests in English for half a century and has contributed significantly to the spread of English education in postwar Japan.
šNagoya Meitoku Junior College Alumni
  Nagoya Meitoku Junior College was established in 1989, had two departments : English department and department of International Studies NMJC was closed in 2002. 2879 students graduated with a high level of international understanding and competency in English.
